Dallas,the Capital of North Texas

Dallas,a popular cosmopolitan metropolis in the state of North Texas,is an urban cultural and commercial center of this part of the country. Located on the bank of the Mississippi River,Dallas is home to a thriving nightlife scene,but it’s not all fun and games. Downtown’s Sixth Floor Museum in Dealey Plaza memorializes the location of President John Kennedy’s assassination. The Dallas Museum of Art focuses on fine art and the arts,while the Crow Collection of Native American Art features works by some of the area’s most talented painters. The slick,newly built Nasher Sculpture Museum showcases modern sculpture from various disciplines.

In addition to the museums mentioned above,the Arts District in Dallas features many other local businesses and attractions. The famous Dallas Cowboys Stadium is located here,and it is among the finest sports facilities in the world. The Cotton Bowl,one of the nation’s premier football venues,also operates here. The Dallas Mavericks basketball team plays their home games at the American Airlines Center. The Dallas Cowboys play their home games at&T Stadium. Dallas has a large number of people who commute to work each day. Many of them work in downtown Dallas. With a population of over two million,the city is very dense. It is home to a great variety of restaurants,shopping centers,and tourist attractions,including the Cotton Bowl,Dallas Cowboys Stadium,and the Dallas Convention Center. The city is also well known for having some of the best hospitals in the United States,including the Texas Children’s Hospital.
